Who Can Join NFCU?

Neenah Foundry Credit Union is a member owned financial cooperative. We are an open charter credit union serving the financial needs of anyone living or working in Outagamie, Winnebago, Waupaca, or Calumet counties in Wisconsin.

NFCU History 

In 1942, Mr. E.J. Aylward, discussed the benefits of a credit union with his employees. These people were enthused with the idea of forming their own credit union. They volunteered their time and talents in recruiting other employees and educating them regarding the benefits that could be derived through their credit union membership. The late Mr. Aylward loaned the credit union the money needed to buy supplies and furnished office space and equipment to start. He even paid the treasurer's wages.

Charter members deposited a few dollars of each paycheck into their share (savings) accounts. Gradually there was enough capital to grant their first loan. Most of the loans called "pay day loans" were in the amounts of $10 to $25 dollars and were repaid on payday. The rate of interest was 12% per annum.
